We led a workshop for the Film and Video Workshop and the BBC Children in Need at Downsview Special School. The stop motion film was made over a period of six days in May 2010. Our young and enthusiastic animators adpated the story of the "The Lighthouse Keeper's Lunch" and then created and animated watercolours, puppets and objects.

Thanks to the "BBC Children in Need ", 10 pupils aged 9 – 12 years from Downsview took part in a one week animation workshop. Working with two professional animators, the children reworked the tale of " The Lightouse Keeper's Lunch" creating this stunning animation film. They spent the days planning, storyboarding, painting watercolour, puppets and props and animating their creations using stop motion animation techniques. Finally, they worked on the narration and voice over to produce this film.
