About the speaker: David Howard leads the Robotic Design and Interaction Group and is a Principal Research Scientist in the Cyber Physical Systems program at CSIRO, Australia's national science body. CSIRO has active research programmes in soft robotics and manipulation, and a key element of their approach is large-scale, automated data collection and highly reliable benchmarking across multiple test problems.
