Chris Knight is the founder of the Radical Anthropology Group, formerly professor of anthropology at the University of East London, currently Senior Honorary Research Associate in the Department of Anthropology, University College London. He is the author of Blood Relations: Menstruation and the origins of culture. He interpreted Grimm's tale of the shoes that were danced to pieces as a myth of the institution of patriarchy and how it overcame female solidarity.
