KUSI profiles a special season of giving in Santee where Senior Volunteers spread holiday cheer to seniors who live alone. The seniors are enrolled in the Sheriff's You Are Not Alone (YANA) program.
Those enrolled in the YANA program get daily phone calls and a weekly visit from a Senior Volunteer
Patrol member all year long. If a YANA member doesn't pick up their phone, a welfare check is conducted to
make sure everything is okay. The You Are Not Alone program is a free service for seniors who live alone and
disabled people living within the jurisdiction of the Sheriff's Department. To enroll, call the Sheriff's
