This nozzle has the very specific purpose of delivering air without much induction of surrounding room air, it is designed to deliver supply air unmixed as much as possible. This is important where you have an application requiring an envelope of air surrounding a product or process (or process line) - the lack of induction means that the supply air remains unmixed and the supply air temperature is therefore close to design.
