In January 2010 we travelled to Japan to see if the rumours about the epic powder that falls there was true... They were!
The trip started in Tokyo sampling the culture, cuisine and chaos of the metropolis before heading to Hokkaido and our main objective to ski the super light powder of Japan's north island. We checked in at the Black Diamond Lodge made famous by ski movies and the base camp for many ski superstars where the hospitality made us feels like traveling pro's.
Over the next ten days we skied the lightest, deepest powder of our lives and took full advantage of the what the Niseko ski resort has to offer before checking out via the decompression chamber that is Sapporo... and it's nightlife.
