Street Photography at the Santa Monica Pier Los Angeles Ca.
Street photography for me is about faces, emotion and light.
Each time I find it a challenge to be out there.
I don't want to hide and take surreptitious pictures.
People may be aware of me...or not...it doesn't matter.
I am honored when they do not hide behind a mask, but allow me to be with them as they are, however that may be.
Images are "given" by the person, not "taken" by the photographer.
It is a sublime difference.
I use existing light. A few simple adjustments in Photoshop.
This particular series was shot primarily with the Sony A7s and 55 1.8 lens;
some were with a Canon 24-70 2.8 lens and Metabones adapter.
