Delfino Velasquez Mendizabal, a construction worker who was killed when the roof where he was working fell on top of him, crushing and killing him. The case is particularly terrible because the contractor had been charged with criminal negligence in a previous case of another worker, killed in a trench that collapsed and suffocated him, in 2007. The owner had to go to jail for a few weekends and paid a fine of $5000. Obviously the building owners (a Dana Ford Lincoln dealership) did not care about the history of this contractor, and NYC never took away the company's permits, so this company continued to function and place workers lives in danger.
