A short demo for recent udpates to the ofxGLEditor and ofxLua addons from OpenFrameworks.
ofxGLEditor provides a simple text editor, syntax highlighting, a file browser, and a Read-Eval-Print Loop console and is a rewrite of the GLEditor from the Fluxus project for OF: github.com/Akira-Hayasaka/ofxGLEditor (see Fluxus also: pawfal.org/fluxus)
ofxLua allows embedding of Lua scripts in OF applications and provides Lua bindings for the OF API using SWIG (currently in the "swig" branch): github.com/danomatika/ofxLua
This is the "livecodingExample" provided with ofxGLEditor which is running the original OF Graphics example ported to a Lua script. Selected text can be executed on the fly or the entire script reloaded, all without having to recompile or restart the app. This approach to coding can be used as a performance medium in it's own right or as a useful tool to get into the "flow" of your ideas.
