Bill has dedicated his life to serving New Yorkers. After about a year with the NYPD, Bill became an FDNY firefighter. He was assigned to the FDNY’s Special Operations Command, and on 9/11, responded from Rescue 5 in Staten Island. After a total of over 19 years with the NYPD and FDNY, Bill retired in 2003 due to injuries he sustained in the attacks
