VTR.TV, you may call it a film or video, it's a linear sort of 'audiovideographic' documental piece. the audiovideographic tag intends to (re)instate the sound element as a central medium in the audiovisual equation, a sort of manifesto towards the importance of the aural in communication and expression in a culture overwhelmed by images.
above all, VTR.TV it's a device - an assemblage of common domestic hardware, whose manipulation was recorded in the tradition of a performative improvised event. as process, at the specific moment of its recording, the device output or data-flow was organized in time according to principles of audiovisual collision and overlap. a collision of the senses, contaminated by the history of film, video and television.
