"If you are lucky enough to have lived in Paris as a young man, then wherever you go for the rest of your life it stays with you, for Paris is a moveable feast." -- Ernest Hemingway
I was lucky enough to live in Paris as a young man and returned there to make this video. I filmed this from the Eiffel Tower, Tour Montparnasse, Notre Dame and Arc De Triumph.

TECHNICAL INFORMATION: Every shot had to be stabilized because I was only using a gorilla grip, except at the Tour Montparnasse who let me use a tripod and 800mm lens. The distortion due to air quality on the long lenses was pretty bad, and I couldn't shoot in 5K RAW to achieve 3 or 4 pictures a second, so I had to shoot in a lower JPEG. Only the opening shot was filmed in RAW and the quality is noticeably different. So, I didn't have very good negatives to begin with and because of the quick interval I had flicker to deal with. So, every shot went through a process of stabilization, deflicker, color treatment and the tilt shift effect which I add last.
It's not as simple as just adding blur to the top and bottom to achieve the effect. I spent two weeks testing different ways to change the "texture" of the image. I experimented with some really distorted toy-like effects but eventually settled on this more subtle effect. This was a combination of noise reduction and sharpening.
