Phoenix Rising From the Ashes

2015 January Adelaide Hills experienced one of their worst bushfires. We watched the fire burn through the hills and approach us. Hot gusty winds blew the embers over and fire ignited everywhere including on our land. 20% of our land is burnt. We fought the fire for 4 days. CFS and Erikson Sky Cranes came to the rescue. Finally the rain came. The land is burnt but there is a beauty. Shakti rises as the phoenix and stands defiantly challenging the nature as well as accepting it and embracing it. Danced to Vivaldi's Cum Dederit, the dance gives hope and looks forth towards the future generation.

Nature is fierce. Now our paradise is complete. It has now gotten its taste of inferno.
