A retired artist reminisces his teenage years as a successful and prosperous painter filled with passion and determination and shines a light on the changes that have come with passing time and the progression of life.
The themes depicted here include the themes of under-appreciation for valuable parts of the human life that cannot be replaced, and the natural inevitable changes that occur as time passes. These themes were interesting to explore because they can connect with general audiences in that they depict the aspects of human life. Directing a drama short film was a new challenge for me; being able to portray certain moods and managing movements and expressions to form emotions allowed me to improve as an aspiring filmmaker. The most difficult was directing my actor in imitating the symptoms of a Parkinson’s Disease patient. Directing this short film was eye-opening and I was able to enhance my skills.
