Setting aside store-bought silhouettes and drawing inspiration from American designer Charles James, Mike Floyd conjured a rich, feminine version of the Snow White costume in "Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike."
Floyd and his creative team assembled all of the looks for the PCS production of Vanya, including handcrafting the six party costumes that appear in the play. Masha, a famous movie star, has come home to visit her two siblings, Vanya and Sonia, and specifically to attend a costume party thrown by a rich neighbor. She brings with her a set of costumes that say a lot about the family dynamics – Snow White and Prince Charming for her and her hot young boyfriend, while her siblings are expected to don Grumpy and Dopey. Sonia has other ideas, however, and everyone is in for a surprise.
