This is a video documentation of ten projects, covering the full range of my practice. On the surface, they may appear to be disjointed projects, but it is the connections between them, and between myself and all the players—other artists, the audience, public, the natural environment, etc—and connections yet to be made, that are my primary focus of work. All projects are about the shared artistic experience, one which makes us feel that life is not too bad, whether in absurdity, wit, or utter beauty. The variety in my practice is not a choice, it’s a necessity. I could not fully appreciate the technicality of digital projects like 110 Days of Winter without the tactile pleasure of Saunter and Repose, or thrive in complex public projects like Will Work for Love without the quietness of Suspended Carbon. It is in the balancing and hopscotching among these projects that I feel most vital and relevant as an artist.
