LMO recently recorded Klaus Badelt’s music for Le Pere Noel at Abbey Road Studio 1.
It is evening on 24 December and, more than anything, six-year-old Antoine wants to have a sleigh ride through the sky with Father Christmas.
When Father Christmas lands on his balcony, the child is too amazed to see through Santa’s disguise and realise that he is actually a burglar who is not prepared to let anyone get in the way of his night’s work.
Klaus Badelt wrote for a string group of 40, single woodwind (with doubles), a 5 piece brass group, 2 percussion + timpani and piano doubling celeste. David Juritz led LMO which was conducted by Andy Brown and Klaus Badelt produced the recordings.
Le Pere Noel, starring Tahar Rahim and Victor Cabal and directed by Alexandre Coffre, recently released in Europe.
