Heroin is a silent killer that is affecting every single one of us. Chances are, you know someone who has been directly impacted by the devastating effects of heroin. Even if addiction doesn't directly impact your family, our community faces the consequences of this drug on a daily basis. The cost of increased law enforcement efforts, the stolen goods from businesses, and the drug dealers who are targeting our youth harm our community every single day.
The Heroin Project is an attempt to raise awareness in and around Madison County, Illinois. Heroin isn't just alive and well in the city of St. Louis, it has leaked out to the suburbs in a substantial way. Our goal is to spread the word and hopefully take some steps in the right direction for finding a solution to the heroin problem.
