Execution, working as a team, believing in yourself, and the team, and the coaches plan... but mostly desire and heart. The Hornets team never quit and scored in the second half vs the OSU team that was a L2 team compared to L4. There is strenth of being in the right frame of mind (the mental game). NHL Phyladelphia who were this year once rated 15th battled to place on the bottom of the playoff ladder, won in a shootout, then lost their first three games and got an overtime goal in the fourth, then fell behing 3-0 in the 7th game near the end of the first period with a few minutes left and won. Coaches and players need to believe in each other to reach that level but more importantly, every single member of the group from top to bottom has to believe. The Canadians were in the same situation to come from behind having to face illimination a number of times and being the weaker team. They played more of a "team vs individuals" type of play with a lot of heart to defeat the Penguins who won the cup last year and were slated as favorites to win. The Canadians had so much focus due to their weaker stance that over compensating made them on the day the better team. The Hornets went on to win a perfect season in 2009 never loosing a game at L4 and are now trying to make something happen at L3 in 2010. If you look closely at the present video, you can see the spirit and mental attitude from the loosing Hornets team and realise loosing was not destructive. In fact they showed character, focus, heart and believed in each other. This team is in my opinion is a contender to reach L2 this year if they and their new members continue to demonstrate the above chemistry required to have a great season. Work hard, have fun and good luck.
