Middle Fork is currently installed in the Seattle Art Museum’s Brotman Forum, the main entry to the museum. The sculpture was installed in the central Congress Center in Davos, Switzerland in January for the 2017 Davos World Economic Forum. From November 2015 through May 2016, Middle Fork was exhibited at the Renwick Gallery of the Smithsonian Museum of American Art in Washington D.C. The first iteration of Middle Fork was fabricated in and debuted at the Seattle MadArt Studio in 2015.
With each exhibition the sculpture continues to grow. At the Renwick Gallery the sculpture was 45 feet long with limbs spanning 20 feet. Middle Fork is currently 105 feet long with limbs spreading 30 feet wide and tall.
After the sculpture finished a series of exhibitions we will return it to the base of the tree that inspired the sculpture and it will be allowed to moss over and gradually disintegrate into the ground.
