In the tradition of great radio dramas of the past such as Orson Welles’s ‘The War of the Worlds’ and Douglas Adam’s ‘The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy’ which utilized radio’s ability stir the imagination and create cult followings, TerryandTheCuz intends to create world which KL-ites can easily identify with and draw them into a deeper place, where the past and present collide, where myths and legends exist, where danger lurks in every corner.
On the worst day of her life, where she’s dumped by her boy and fired from her job, Aliyah finds out things CAN get much worse. Missing the last train back home she decides to cut through the back lanes of Kuala Lumpur as a shortcut to the bus station only to be attacked. She manages to escape her would be assailants and runs blindly through the back streets before ducking into a storm drain with her assailants in pursuit.
A homeless man apparently using the storm drain as shelter comes to her rescue and they manage to fend off her attackers once again but the man is seriously injured. Trapped with nowhere else to go and urged by the injured man go down deeper under Kuala Lumpur, Aliyah’s adventure is about to begin!
Under KL is a journey through a world which exists below Kuala Lumpur where our past and future collide, a place where demons and demi-gods exists, and where the impossible always seems around the corner. Aliyah must journey through this world to find her destiny and save us from ours.
