This road is about 25 miles long and runs from near Lochinver and Kylesku in Sutherland in Scotland. It lies within a 2000 square kilometre Geopark which encompasses a fascinating array of landscapes deriving from rocks up to 3 Billion years old. A good introduction to this area can be had by searching for 'Kylesku Hotel' which has excellent links to other sites. The road provides a real challenge as there are several climbs of greater than 18% gradient. There is an excellent cafe at Drumbeg and the Kylesku Hotel is a noted seafood restaurant. A circular ride of just over 40 miles can be made from Lochinver, anticlockwse would give the best views.
