David Brown (BM ’69, organ; BM ’74, Dalcroze Eurhythmics) received a Distinguished Alumni Award after 40 years as the head of the Eurhythmics Department
at CIM’s 85th Commencement Ceremony, May 15, 2010. In his speech, he encouraged students to find “the perfect cherry blossom” and to find the imperfections that comprise perfection. Special guest, Tony Bennett, received an honorary doctorate and performed at the ceremony (video not available.)
