Elliott Golub (BM ’56, violin), former concertmaster of Music of the Baroque, received a Distinguished Alumni Award at CIM’s 85th Commencement Ceremony, May 15, 2010. For over 16 years, Mr. Golub has taken his ensemble on ambassadorial trips to more than 20 countries to introduce classical music to those who have never heard it. In his acceptance speech, he described CIM graduates proudly as “our newest exports to the world.” Special guest, Tony Bennett, received an honorary doctorate and performed at the ceremony (video not available.)
