The SOS Campaign (saveoursafetynet.com) mobilized on May 19, 2010, to let the Washington DC councilmembers know that vital safety net services for the city's most vulnerable need to be saved.
Several councilmembers have endorsed SOS's call for a "progressive tax" to offset the deficits facing the city, and speciically the targeted budget cuts from safety net programs.
Kymone Freeman addresses the crowd after a brief conversation on the steps of city hall with Councilmember Kwame Brown (at-large).
