A new extract of my movie Highlights 2009 with the displays of the Eurofighter, the C-130 Hercules and the Spartan during the Airpower airshow in Zeltweg 2009.
The Lockheed C-130 "Hercules" serves with more than 70 nations and is one of the most versatile transport aircraft in the world. With a payload of 19 tons, the "Hercules" still has a range of 3,000 kilometres, permitting it to transport 92 passengers or 64 parachutists as well as 74 stretchers and 2 medics to an operational area.
The C27J, produced by the Italian company Alenia, is, so to speak, the small European sister of the Lockheed C-130 "Hercules". The medium-sized multipurpose military cargo plane with its STOL (short takeoff and landing) capacities is a further development of the proven Alenia G222, fitted with technical features (propeller, engines, avionics) of the Hercules.
The Eurofighter Typhoon is a fourth-generation multirole fighter developed by the four partner nations in the Eurofighter programme, namely Germany, Great Britain, Italy and Spain. The twin-engined single-seater jet boasts cutting-edge navigation and control systems (fly-by-wire) which ensure high agility at low speeds and generally excellent maneuverability.
