I have posted other edits of this footage before, but this was created especially for a presentation at the World Digisicoper's Meeting that was held in conjunction with the Space Coast Birding and Wildlife Festival in Titusville, FL in January, 2015.
It was an exciting challenge to sync his moves to the music, but not as great as keeping him in the frame and in focus using a system with a 1000mm equivalent focal length, and by manually focusing the scope that the GH4 was attached to. The slow-motion segments were shot at 96fps, and the full-speed (!) section at the end was shot in 4K and down-rezed to 1080p to match the rest of the clips. This was my ultimate "focus pulling" challenge.
Digiscoped in manual focus using a GH4 + 20/1.7mm lens mounted on a Swarovski STX85 scope with the Digidapter, Manfrotto 502HD head + RRS TVC-33 legs with leveling base.
