Hebrews 1:1 AMP “IN MANY separate revelations [each of which set forth a portion of the Truth]
and in different ways God spoke of old to [our] forefathers in and by the prophets.”
Isaiah 28:10-13 AMP “For it is [His prophets repeating over and over]: precept upon precept, precept upon precept, rule upon rule, rule upon rule; here a little, there a little. (11) but [the Lord will teach the rebels in a more humiliating way] by men with stammering lips and another tongue will He speak to this people [says Isaiah, and teach them His lessons]. (12) To these [complaining Jews the Lord] had said, This is the true rest [the way to true comfort and happiness] that you shall give to the weary, and, This is the [true] refreshing--yet they would not listen [to His teaching]. (13) Therefore the word of the Lord will be to them [merely monotonous repeatings of]: precept upon precept, precept upon precept, rule upon rule, rule upon rule; here a little, there a little--that they may go and fall backward, and be broken and snared and taken.”
In this teaching, Dr. Don G. Pickney builds on the three scriptures (above) to deepen the revelation of the Day of Jehovah Tsaba (Lord of hosts), and show the principle set forth in the Hebrews 1:1 verse.
Pastor Don likens the revelation of the Day of Jehovah Tsaba to a beautiful puzzle of scripture, showing without the ability to dispute, how the scriptures find their contextual connections to correlate a message to today’s believers concerning “the greatest event since God created man upon the earth.”
He explains how each anointing of the Spirit is distinctly unique to accomplish whatever is God’s plan and purpose for the Holy Spirit’s moving. In Genesis 1:1-3, the purpose (anointing) of the Spirit of God moving on the face of the waters was to bring order out of chaos. (How many people do you know who might need that anointing in their lives, families, businesses, etc.? You can ask God for that anointing!)
As the teaching progresses, Pastor Don brings clarity to the anointing of Haggai 2:5-9:
Haggai 2:5-9 KJV “According to the word that I covenanted with you when ye came out of Egypt, so my spirit remains among you: fear ye not. (6) For thus saith the LORD of hosts; Yet once, it is a little while, and I will shake the heavens, and the earth, and the sea, and the dry land; (7) And I will shake all nations, and the desire of all nations shall come: and I will fill this house with glory, saith the LORD of hosts. (8) The silver is mine, and the gold is mine, saith the LORD of hosts. (9) The glory of this latter house shall be greater than of the former, saith the LORD of hosts: and in this place will I give peace, saith the LORD of hosts.”
He likens the process of connecting to the accurate anointing like putting a puzzle together, and looking for each connective piece of the puzzle. He asks, “What word” that God covenanted with Israel is it that “remains?” He then takes us on a hunt scripturally looking for the “covenant” in question, stating, “If we can find that covenant, then we can find the “words” that carry the anointing of this biblical prophetic event yet to come.” He notes: “Because that is the only covenant anointing that will be passed down to the recipients of this Haggai prophecy!” Then Pastor Don finds the piece of the puzzle that fits Haggai’s prophecy:
Exodus 2:23-25 KJV “And it came to pass in process of time, that the king of Egypt died: and the children of Israel sighed by reason of the bondage, and they cried, and their cry came up unto God by reason of the bondage. (24) And God heard their groaning, and God remembered his covenant with Abraham, with Isaac, and with Jacob. (25) And God looked upon the children of Israel, and God had respect unto them.
As if he was on “rabbit trail,” Pastor Don connects these words of the covenant of God to Abraham:
Genesis 15:12-14 KJV "And when the sun was going down, a deep sleep fell upon Abram; and, lo, an horror of great darkness fell upon him. (13) And he said unto Abram, Know of a surety that thy seed shall be a stranger in a land that is not theirs, and shall serve them; and they shall afflict them four hundred years; (14) And also that nation, whom they shall serve, will I judge: and afterward shall they come out with great substance.”
Pastor Don quotes from the Amplified Bible to point out whose “house” is being referenced for the second event to occur:
Haggai 2:7-9 AMP “And I will shake all nations and the desire and the precious things of all nations shall come in, and I will fill this house with splendor, says the Lord of hosts. [Isa. 60:5; Matt. 2:1-12.] (8) The silver is Mine and the gold is Mine, says the Lord of hosts. (9) The latter glory of this house [with its successor, to which Jesus came] shall be greater than the former." Pastor Don declares, "THIS IS THE CHURCH!"
