This short clip of flowers was shot with a Sanyo Xacti HD1000, using the 720p 60fps setting. Then it was edited with Sony Vegas Movie Studio Platinum 8d (trial download, since my previous version 6 of the software wasn't up to the task). In Vegas, I rendered the edited movie to a WMV9 file at 24fps (well, really, 23.976 or some such number). I was trying to see if this slower frame rate would give it more of a "film" look. Frankly, I just got the camera last week, so I'm still a little new at this. And I've had to beef up my computer in order to edit the high-def files created by the camera. To keep it from crashing, the best arrangement seems to be with the operating system and Vegas application on the main drive, and the media and temp directory on a separate drive.
