Professor Ben Bowling from Kings College, London presents a history of modern policing beginning with the birth of policing in 1829 to the modern day revelations about SpyCops. His talk was part of the session called, 'A history of Systematic Failures?', and was chaired by Stafford Scott, The Monitoring Group and Tottenham Rights and Richard Garside, from the Centre for Crime and Justice Studies.
