My name is Oscar Bellerose and I am from the East Prairie Colony originally but I was born in Cork, Alberta and I was four and a half years old when my parents moved to Grouard for the winter. We traveled all summer with wagons from Cork to Grouard and we had to stay at Grouard for the winter and the next year we went to East Prairie during the summer and it took us two and a half days from Enilda to get to East Prairie by horse and wagon. It took us two and a half days to move to East Prairie and this was back in ‘41 I guess, no ‘40. I was five years old then and I was born in 1934 at Cork, Alberta. We moved in with an older gentleman who lived in that area who was from the First World War by the name of George Harvey. We stayed with him until we first fresh sod on the roof of that building and then we moved into that place which I have some pictures of.
