This is an autobiographical piece about the 5-month, 15,000-mile roadtrip one couple took last year around the US after leaving their lives in NYC behind. They expected to learn about their country and the people in it, but learned more about themselves in the process.

"One year ago, Brendan and I had no idea that we would leave New York City, no idea that we would move in together (not to mention into a VAN), and no idea of the sights we would behold in 2014. If you had told me a year ago that I would sleep next to a bear in the Idaho wilderness, sit in rain storms at the edge of the Grand Canyon, get heat exhaustion in Death Valley, and trade in my Metro Card for a National Parks Pass, I would have thought you were talking to the seasoned camper/backpacker/never-needs-a-showerer just behind me.
We often get asked the question, “Why?”
It’s always difficult to sum up our intensive 15,000 miles of discovery, creation, growth, and change with only words, so we put together this video for a little visual aid. We hope that it will take you away for a little while, that it will remind you of warmer, less wintry days, and that we can share with you just a few of the astounding places we came across in this vast country of ours."
