Veneranda, who died at the age of 17, stands as a symbol of all People Living with HIV/AIDS (PLWHA) in Bulongwa/ Makete District/ Tanzania, who were denied state-of-the-art treatment due to the misuse and theft of funds designated for their health care.
The documentary is dedicated to the 70 HIV-patients – many of them activists from the HIV/AIDS self-help group PIUMA (piuma-simba.org) – who died unnecessarily since 2006 due to the lack of decent HIV-care.
