Across an average hospital, thousands of individual clinical tasks take place everyday. These may include writing prescription order, inserting an intravenous cannula or undertaking a patient review. These requests are often given verbally with no auditable record of what orders were requested and when. We have set out at Imperial College London to challenge the current status quo and provide a robust software solution to facilitate clinical task management and clinical collaboration.
Hark is the result of three years of user centred research and development. We have published a number of peer reviewed academic articles detailing our research in this area including in detailing problems with current processes and requirements for a new software solution. Hark is undergoing clinical trials at 2 London hospitals before wider roll out.
