This video is about the hackathon that was organised by the NewsReader project on January 15 in Amsterdam. The NewsReader project is a European research project that aims to extract events from textual news sources in 4 languages (English, Spanish, Italian and Dutch), removing duplication, complementing information, registering inconsistencies and keeping track of the original sources. Any new information is integrated with the past, distinguishing the new from the old in an unfolding story line, similar to how people tend to remember the past and access knowledge and information.
