“Why not to secure your business,” was the copy from an Italian ad featuring a row of men holding their “business” which Matteo Bologna used as an example of what excellent copy writers Italians make. He left many in the audience feeling great about design, giving off the impression that design is fun. Have fun with your job, embrace your clients, even if they are difficult, and do not laugh at yourself a little.
Bologna is the founder and President of New York-based Mucca Design Corporation, where he also serves as Creative Director. Born and raised in Milan, Italy, Matteo’s grounding in architecture, graphic design, illustration and typography facilitated his early business successes and inspired his decision to create a New York agency. He is funny, witty and doesn’t make making fun of himself.
Bologna joined Denver’s creative’s on May 5, 2010 on behalf of AIGA Colorado’s taste Design Tastes, a 3-part AIGA Colorado programming series exploring the intersection of food and design through the commonalities of approach and style among designers Louise Fili, Louis Gagnon, and Matteo Bologna.
