At some point Russ got it in his head to run the LA Marathon. During the middle of his training, while at our sister's in Big Bear, he bashed his knee on a rock which lay hidden under a bed of snow.
It may have halted his jogging routine, but he was still determined to run the entire 26.2 miles. The way he put it was, in his mind, simple: "I already paid the admission, I might as well show up for the free "health" bars."
