I have now bought two Brown Sanyo HD700, from different retailers. Each has a region to the left edge of the imaging area where the image tinges to Green. See the waste paper bin, which is grey plastic with a white plastic liner. Note the green color caste that comes over the bin as it is panned towards the left edge of the imager.
Two cameras with an identical problem - both the Brown version of the HD700. Sanyo says they don't know about any systematic problem, or product recall, although they unhesitatingly told me I have a faulty camera. Well, actually I have two, and I paid extra for 3-day delivery on them, too. Sigh...
I had a Silver HD700 two months ago which did not have this problem. None of the videos I took with the Silver version show any similar trouble. Presumably manufactured at a different time, with a different batch of CCD. Sigh...
Settings: ASA200, all else full auto. HS mode activated.
