This video is part 3 in a 5 part series of Max's Bees. Max's top bar hive turned aggressive over the past year. We moved the hive to a remote location and we are going through the process of removing the honey, transferring the bees from a top bar hive to a Langstroth hive, removing the aggressive queen using a queen excluder and giving the hive a new queen via a frame of brood from a known Carniolan Queen. In 6 to 8 weeks this hive should be gentle again. We have returned on day two to add a second super with a frame of brood to the bottom hive body. The brood frame is from a hive of a 2012 Carniolan breeder queen and has eggs and young larva removed a half hour earlier.
