This national festival has come to Chippenham in Wiltshire every year for the last 40 years! It has always been a safe and fun family weekend with the top artists in folk music from all over the UK performing and mingling with the crowds. It has an informal quality, which attracts all kinds of visitors from Chippenham and the surrounding area.
The video was filmed during the festival and edited at our studios in Chippenham. We used illustrative text to allude to the traditional elements of the festival and incorporated the video footage into a selection of relevant music. Animated graphics link the sequences together to suggest a natural and friendly ambience.
The film was designed to give a flavour of the event and to convey it's genuinely happy atmosphere whatever the weather! Folk artists and followers are renowned for their ability to dance and sing and play whatever the circumstances and we wanted the film to convey that sense of joy!
