Steve is a Partner and Design Director at Eskew+Dumez+Ripple, and is a Past-President of AIA Louisiana and AIA New Orleans. He has also chaired the AIA design awards programs at the local, state and regional level and has served on numerous design award juries across the country. His projects have been widely published in several books as well as numerous national architectural and design magazines.
Steve holds architectural degrees from Louisiana State University and Yale University and has lectured widely on the firm’s practice. Under his design direction, Eskew+Dumez+Ripple has been the recipient of numerous prestigious awards for design excellence, including 10 National Awards over the past 5 years, a P/A design award and over 100 design awards at the local, state and regional levels. The firm’s dedication to environmental and cultural concerns has created a platform for projects ranging from museums and interpretive centers to laboratories and environmental education facilities. The collaborative, intensive design process promotes the ability of architecture to touch the lives of its users in profound and powerful ways.
Actively engaged in many local civic organizations, Steve currently serves on the board of the Preservation Resource Center of New Orleans.
