On May 26, 2010 The American Rally for Personal Rights took place in Grant Park in the city of Chicago. This collection of people feel that personal freedom is more important then the health and welfare of the greater population. Approximately 100 people attended the rally. 90 anti-vaccination supporters were bussed to the rally site and 10 pro-vaccination supporters from the Women Thinking Free Foundation were there to peacefully observe and hand out information about the Hug Me, I'm Vaccinated campaign that will soon be launching.
The keynote speaker for the rally was Andrew Wakefield, the author of a study linking Autism to Vaccines. The study has been universally panned as bad science and he lost his license to practice medicine in Great Britain.
