HMRC National Minimum Wage Help and Advice for Employers in the South - 14th July 2026

Albert Goodman

Ensuring National Minimum Wage (NMW) compliance can be complex for many employers. As part of its geographical targeting of employers, HMRC is currently targeting employers in Dorset and Hampshire, and this may extend across the South West. This is part of its continuing programme of challenging employers to ensure that they are paying at least NMW. The current campaign involves HMRC issuing letters requesting a review of payments over the last six years. Employers are being asked to confirm compliance or identify and correct any underpayments through a self‑correction process.

This webinar will highlight key risk areas, including:
- Worker categorisation
- Accurately recording working time
- Handling deductions correctly
- Consequences of non-compliance

We’ll also cover practical steps and how we can support you, including audits, contract reviews, and guidance on correcting any issues.
