On the morning of Will and Chelsea’s wedding, within the first hour, I had encountered shots of whiskey, cigars, guns, cussing at a rate of 4 per sentence, and groomsmen in only boots, undies and vests. To most cinematographers, this might seem like chaos, but I was excited because when getting to know Will and Chelsea, this is what I expected and was hoping for.
Meeting Will, I knew he was tough, strong, and no nonsense. He’s a true modern day cowboy with a white pickup truck. What makes Chelsea perfect for Will, is that she’s an ER nurse, tough as nails, and has no problems going toe to toe with Will.
Together we knew when we met Will and Chelsea that we wanted to tell their story. They were a “real” couple. They didn’t hold anything back and that made us feel that we did not need to hold anything back when telling their story. From a country-style wedding in a barn to a brand that’s been in the family for generations and from being sassy to sometimes being infuriating.
This is Will and Chelsea’s story.
P.S. Will and Chelsea’s wedding was also amazing because they had a great set of vendors with Grace from Graceful Gatherings, Zack from Zack and Becky Photography, and DJ Derik from Riptide Entertainment.
