A Lutefisk Western is a film about a man named Gunnar who inherits a large swathe of Minnesotan land after the untimely and mysterious death of his grandfather. He soon finds himself the center of attention when it is revealed that, beneath the prairie, there may be a centuries-old treasure waiting to be exhumed. A Lutefisk Western is a funny, fast-paced, and exciting film that attempts to counter the Italian "Spaghetti Western" of the sixties in a unique and interesting new locale.
This film was made by Eric Carlson, Andrew Neill, and Max Heesch as their final student film at Minnesota State University Moorhead's senior seminar film course.
