Sorry for the brevity -- this is just a quick test for an upcoming project. Timelapse done on an approaching storm front near Kitchener, Ontario. Taken from the top of "Mount Trashmore" in SW Kitchener using a Canon 5D Mark 2, 17-40 mm L Canon lens (at 17 mm -- magnified or "scaled upward" in Premiere Pro CS5). Photos were taken every 2 seconds (172 photos total) in Aperture Priority, ISO 100 in RAW. These photos were then imported into Lightroom 2.7 and only very minor changes made to them before being exported as high quality JPEGs numbered sequentially.
These new JPEGS were then imported into the trial version (Production Premium Suite on order) of Premiere Pro CS5. Huge improvement in handling these large files in CS5 compared to PP CS4, taking advantage of the new Mercury GPU engine. This timelapse movie was rendered into H.264 MPEG4 format at 30 fps (29.97).
