Manual Cinema presents an immersive evening of live, cinematic shadow puppetry based

on the world of twentieth-century Spanish poet Federico García Lorca. Using hundreds of

paper shadow puppets, six old-school overhead projectors, and an original score

performed live by the chamber ensemble Nu Deco, Manual Cinema will transform

a Little River // Miami warehouse dock through light and shadow into a fantastic

landscape inspired by Lorca's surreal imagination.

Before the performance, audience members can interact with art installations of light, shadow, and sound in an intimate outdoor courtyard; after the show, everyone is invited behind the screen to encounter the inner workings of Manual Cinema's artistry. Hot Satellite will serve tacos and beer, plus sangria made from wine donated by Whole Foods Miami.

There is a free lot onsite, in addition to free street side parking.
