Brownrigg Poultry is owned and run by the Brownrigg family. Paul and Sue along with their two sons John and Richard farm all manner of free range poultry. If you're spending Christmas on the Isle of Wight there is every chance you could be having one of their renowned Brownrigg Bronze turkeys. Having grown up on the farm, and now in their 20's, John and Richard, have been learning the trade from their parents since they could walk.
This is a story of family tradition in perhaps it's purest form. The boys both live in their own houses on the farm with their partners and both are looking forward to teaching their own children the same way their parents taught them.
Island Artisans aims to promote farmers and producers on the Isle of Wight, and by extension Britain as a whole.
We want to show you the people behind the businesses.
We want to show their strength of character and proud ethical traditions of their trade.
We want to show how hard they work and how they strive to produce quality foods, ethically and with their local community in mind, not just their profit margins.
