Collector Greg Evans first met Dale Earnhardt in January 1998, shortly after he and his family had moved to Columbia, South Carolina. Their first meeting was at a promotion at Dale's Chevrolet Dealership in Newton, North Carolina, and the two struck up a friendship shortly thereafter. Earnhardt often commented that he couldn't believe how much Evan's son, Nicholas, looked like Dale Jr.
Over the years, Evans amassed an amazing collection of Dale Earnhardt memorabilia, including some one-of-a-kind pieces like a custom-made Rolex Daytona watch and an original piece of artwork from NASCAR artist Jeanne Barnes. He was particularly fond of Sam Bass artwork as well, accumulating literally hundreds of beautiful and rare prints, many of which Evans had personally autographed.
Evans collection grew too big for him to display, and after more than a decade, he decided that it was time to part with some of it. Wanting to be sure that he could share these treasures with other Earnhardt fans who would truly appreciate it, he began asking some of this NASCAR connections in Charlotte how to go about selling it, and one name kept coming up: GoMotorBids.com
So we are honored to be able to say that this remarkable collection is being offered exclusively to the members of our website. Enjoy!
