Leisel describes what happened to her after arriving in England in 1939. She stayed with a series of foster families before arriving in Leeds and settling happily with the Wynne family. She stayed in touch with her mother, who had remarried, but didn't live with her again. Leisel stayed with the Wynnes until she married her husband Terry. She explains the importance of having her own family.
